Office paper disintegrators, called shredder, were conceived as a tool for quick and reliable riddance of confidential or discreditable papers.

The creation of the new software named Unshredder disproved this idea - thanks to this software, you can reconstruct almost any shredded paper document. Of course, having plenty of time and patience, you can lay all stripes out manually and piece this unique puzzle together, but the software will succeed more quickly. It reconstructs simple and small shreds successfully, according to the illustrations posted on the developers' website. Yet, human input is still required: after a user downloads and pays for the software, he has to stick all the paper strips on a transparent film and scan both sides, and then process the files using Unshredder.
