b2ap3_thumbnail_drives.jpgAny processor, that is a kind of computer “brain”, has a hard drive that carries Windows and serves as a storage for various files. It is recommended to have several partitions and over one logical disk. This will save you from confusion. In addition, it will allow bringing your system back to life without serious data loss. But two different disks can have different names and it depends on you and your fantasy.

In order to change the name of hard drive with operating system (for example, from ‘hard drive C’ to ‘operating system’), you simply need to open start menu by clicking on the bottom-left corner of the screen and then select the shortcut ‘My computer’ in the menu and do the same. A new window containing names of hard drives (C,D,E, etc.) will pop up. Hover a cursor over an icon of one of the hard drives, right click, and then in pop-down menu select ‘Rename’. So, all you have to do now is to think up a name and type it there.

The procedure is simple and easy as you see.
