Fast testing of hard drive performance in FreeBSD

The diskinfo utility can be used for the fast drive performance assessment as well as for getting information on data transmission speed and head positioning time in FreeBSD:

diskinfo -t /dev/aacd0

diskinfo -c /dev/aacd0

For a more detailed performance analysis, you can use the port

/usr/ports/benchmarks/bonnie++
